New York Fashion Week is here and we want to help you look your most fashion forward among the models, celebrities and various fashionistas invading the city. Luckily, one of the styles that is coming into fashion this season is naturally curly hair. You may not be a model but that doesn’t mean you can’t look like one. Here are a few fashionable hair trends for you to try out this week whether you are front row at the shows or just avoiding Lincoln Center like the plague (or maybe a little bit of both?)  We want to help you see and be seen in the city this week.

Pixie Curls: Whoever said that curly hair can’t be worn short? One thing to know about cutting curly hair is that your curls will experience shrinkage. The shorter the hair, the less length there is to weigh it down. Be prepared for curls to get tighter in this style and make sure to invest in our Curlisto Control II Gel to keep your curls in check as the last of the Summer humidity seeps out of the air.

Voluminous Afros: As we said, natural hair is in this season so why not celebrate your curls by wearing them in the most natural way possible? To give your hair the most volume possible we recommend you use our Curlisto BioGel Mousse which promotes body for all curl types.

Braids: Box braids, french braids, pig tail braids. Curly hair and braids mix together extremely well since curls give a unique shape to any style. To avoid any frizzies escaping your braids, make sure to first apply Curlisto Structura Lotion to damp hair and dry using a diffuser.

Long Loose Waves: This is a classic that consistently returns to the runways at fashion week every year. We love big, bouncy, natural curls, but we also encourage all of our clients to try out different styles and not be afraid to shake up the routine. To keep your neatly styled waves in place, add a spritz of Curlisto GLow & Shine to your finished look.
