As yesterday marked the first true day of Fall, we at Curlisto have taken it upon ourselves to list a few Hair Dos and Don’ts for this season. Though we always stand behind projecting your own personal style through your hair, there are simply a few trends we have seen of late that do not mesh with polite (or even impolite) society. It is alright if you disagree with us, however, if you are to take one of our tips to heart, let it be our first Fall season “Don’t”, which leads us too…

Don’t: Cultural Appropriation— We are thinking dreadlocks at Marc Jacobs. If you are not of African American culture, do not steal their cultural style. Simple as that. Instead…

Do: Funky and Unique Styles— Of which there are many that will not offend an entire race of people. Fishtails, pixies, shocking colors. The choices are endless, all it takes is some reflection before you give yourself a semi permanent makeover.

Don’t: Bobs and Bangs— Let’s just say that this style died with Taylor Swift, and it wasn’t even entirely acceptable beforehand. Think early 2000s soccer mom.

Do: Color and Curls—
As seen on the runways of Topshop and Mimi Wade, the trend this season is big hair and bold coloring, which brings us to…

Don’t: Bright Orange Hair— It isn’t flattering on anyone.

Do: Pale Pink— The girlish color has been everywhere from young model Fernanda Ly to the runways at Marc Jacobs. And this is a color that can feel young and fresh for anyone!
