There is an awful lot of discussion that goes on concerning whether or not celebrities are also supposed to be role models. True, they are still human beings and deserve to make their mistakes in private (especially if they are under 18 years old), but they are also public figures and young women tend to be susceptible to what they see every day pasted on billboards and magazine covers. When I was a teenager, I wanted more than anything to see a beautiful curly haired celebrity on a magazine cover. Someone who would prove to me that my curls were beautiful. But everywhere I turned all I saw were curly haired celebrities who increasingly ended up ironing their locks into submission. So that’s what I did as well. I wasted years mistreating my curls, constantly trying to tame them. And I wish that I had seen another woman who embraced them and nourished them the way they deserved to be. Well, those female celebrities may not love their curls, but seeing their hair in its natural state makes me happy. Here are some well known women with their natural hair.
Mila Kunis: If you happen to catch a photo of young Mila you can see that she naturally has tight coily hair, sadly this is a look that she seems to never revert to these days. Tyra Banks: Tyra has rocked thousands of hair styles over the course of her modeling and reality tv career, but is is sadly rare that we see her with ringlets!
