Curly hair is all about shape. Each curl has a different shape than the one next to it. Every texture of curls falls into a different frame. And sometimes, when cut in the wrong way, your curls can transform into a shape that you may not necessarily want. The Curlisto Diametrix cutting technique wards off the dangers of the triangle or the shelf that often come with the texture. The technique features the inner layers texturizing cut which reduces bulkiness and helps give you the shape you want. However, there are a few different ways to go about this. Sometimes you want to change it up, and we know how to help you get the results you want! Here are just a few different cuts that we love here at Christo Fifth Ave!
1. The Versus Diametrix: A long diagonal angled cut in which the Diametrix Cutting Technique is applied to take away the bottom bulkiness of the style to allow the curls to lie beautifully framed around the face. We call this Versus Diametrix because the frame is cut on the opposite side of the face to allow the diagonal angles of hair to frame the face by avoiding the awkward “shelf effect.” Versus Diametrix allows clients with long curls to enjoy the versatility of hair styles, as well as create more defined curls and avoid frizz.
Works best with: Long length hair for all curl textures ranging from loose to tight.

2. The Curly Shoulder Bob: To achieve this shape, the Diamtrix Cutting Technique intertwines the curls to create extra definition. This is an easily customizable style that looks great with a flower clip or a colorful scarf!
Works best with: Girls with loose to medium curls who prefer shorter length.

3. The CurlHawk: Be adventurous! After styling your hair with Lotion Plus and Control II Gel, diffuse the curls to add volume to your style. Comb your curls up towards the center of your head and secure with bobby pins from the start of your hair line down to the nape of your neck, allowing the curls to fall over the pins. After you finish securing all the pins, a few spritz of Structura Spray will go a long way to keep your hair from frizzing and Glow & Shine for more brilliance!
