Today, Anthony Vaccarello brought the Y back to YSL in a big way. We are not a fashion blog, so what does that have to with us? Well, for one thing, it promises something big for the curly hair community. A return to a time when big hair meant female power, with only positive intonations for the look. We are talking about the 1980’s, a decade that is becoming more and more prevalent in our current generation. The 1980’s were a turning point for women in the workplace and with America about to (HOPEFULLY) elect the first woman president, this could not be a more appropriate time for the bold, brilliance of the 1980’s to make a return. That means bigger shoulders (did anyone catch the return of Le Smoking jacket at YSL??), bigger heels (again… if you haven’t seen it yet, check YSL’s new line) and of course, bigger hair.
Now that we are over and done with that 90’s comeback (can everyone stow their creepers in the back of their closets please?), it’s time to shun that flat 90’s hair as well. How do we go about doing this? Here are our tips-
1. Invest In Some Quality Styling Mousse: Curlisto Bio Gel is a good one.
2. Always Blow Dry With A Diffuser: Big does not have to mean frizzy.
3. Finish Strong With Healthy Shiny Hair: If you want a shortcut to shine, we love our Curlisto GLow & Shine Spray.
