I’m going to be candid here: I am a lazy person. I have a stack of magazines on my desk that are well read through and shredded to bits. The food cabinet in my apartment would be best described as “Freshman Frat Boy” and I can’t fold a shirt to save my life (seriously I probably wouldn’t even fold it if my life were on the line). The same can be said of my former hair care routine. I don’t like anything too time consuming or complex, which is why if you are a lazy girl like me, this hair styling routine will also work for you. This routine works best for wavy/ loose curls and of course before beginning you must start with a base of healthy ringlets. We recommend Curlisto Gentle Botanical shampoo once or twice a week followed by Curlisto Botanical rinse and our Deep Therapy masque once a week to combat dryness and frizziness. With healthy hair as your baseline, you are ready to begin.
Step One: Spray Curlisto Protein boost leave in conditioner onto damp hair for easy detangling and hair shaft protection.
Step Two: Detangle your hair using a finger comb, then with the long tail end of the comb, twirl your hair into five even sections: nape above the neck, center back, two sides and top of the head. Secure these sections with clips. This is the most complicated step of the routine, however it is completely necessary for if you want each product to be evenly distributed onto the hair.
Step Three: Finger comb a quarter sized dollop of Structura lotion from roots to ends starting at the nap section (take this section out of its clip first). Next work in a squirt of Biogel mousse, repeating with each section of hair. Structura helps define curls while Biogel protects curls from breakage and dryness.
Step 4: Next slide four clips horizontally to the scalp with one clip at each side. Dry your hair using a diffuser, this creates soft, silky curls while also crating voluming.
Step 5 (Last but not least!): Add in Finishing Pomade and and Structura spray and go about your day with happy, healthy and luscious hair. All together this should only take about 20 minutes and keep your hair protected until your next wash. See? That was easy 😉
